For the month of September, the M. Patricia
Cronin Foundation to Fight Ovarian Cancer, Inc. will once
again join two organizations that have a common purpose:
to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and its symptoms. The
coalition includes the Massachusetts Division of the National
Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC-MA) and the Ovarian Cancer
Education Awareness Network (OCEAN) at Massachusetts General
Hospital. The organizations sponsor a Web site -
www.OvarianCancerAwareness.org, a statewide e-mail
campaign, print ads, and public service announcements on
the radio and television. The ads provide information about
the symptoms of ovarian cancer and encourage women to visit
a doctor if such symptoms persist for more than two weeks.
