Cronin Foundation Supports Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

For the 8th year, the Foundation joined with other organizations in MA in the Ovarian Cancer Awareness Campaign. In addition to a website – www.ovariancancerawareness.org – the coalition sponsored a webcast and statewide media campaign to encourage women to Get the Facts about Ovarian Cancer. The Turn it Teal campaign links teal-colored landmarks with an education and awareness campaign. Foundation President Nancy Farrell received a Teal Award at the coalition’s annual event in honor of her efforts on the campaign. For more information, please visit the coalition’s website.

Pictured at the Teal Awards with the Lexington High School Volleyball Team are coach Jane Bergin; NECN Anchor and Teal Award Winner Beth Shelburne; Cronin Foundation President and Teal Award winner Nancy Farrell; and Senate President Therese Murray. The team members are sponsoring a special benefit game for a Lexington graduate, only 19 years old, who has ovarian cancer.
